Chapter 48
A reddish light slowly spread across the sky. I saw from my window that the sun was just starting to poke out from beneath the horizon.
"Mr. Page, you're up early today." Alfred looked a little surprised when he saw me come down the stairs. Ever since Andrew started frequenting the villa, I had been sleeping in late just to avoid seeing him.
"Mrs. Page has been sitting there for a while. Mr. Stuart didn't come yesterday, so she got up early. I asked Helen to bring her a jacket, but Mrs. Page wouldn't accept it."
I nodded and said, "I'll go."
It just so happened that I had something to discuss with Valerie.
