The war was getting worse, we’d already lost two strong pack in the past five months alone, so many shifters were becoming homeless, Amoria was becoming infested by the Terrors day by day and the homeless population was rising because of the refugees.
My lands were in chaos and I could barely hold on to my sanity. The council weren’t helping, old shifters and humanoids talking about building borders and volunteering pups and kids to fight the war. We were outnumbered that I knew very well but having children being thrown into a war this bad wasn’t the answer. The pack house felt empty despite the many people coming in and out of the place. I stood up from my seat and walked towards the window, my study seems to be the only place that I can relax in. I’ve struggled to keep the beast inside me at bay but it kept on raging on. It missed its mate, what has it been over sixty or seventy years? I felt so utterly alone. Somehow history always seemed to repeat itself.
