Chapter 129: A Glimmer of Hope
Quinn’s phone buzzed with an urgent call, the hospital’s number flashing on the screen. She answered with a sense of trepidation, already anticipating more bad news.
“Dr. Reynolds?” Quinn’s voice was laced with concern as she listened to the doctor on the other end of the line.
“Mrs. Caddel, I need you to come to the hospital immediately,” Dr. Reynolds said, his tone urgent. “There’s been a development with Gift’s condition.” Quinn’s heart skipped a beat.
“Is she okay?”
“There’s a chance,” the doctor replied carefully, “a chance for Gift to walk again.”
Quinn felt a surge of hope mingled with disbelief. “What do you mean?”
“I can speak on the phone. Why don't you come to the hospital?”
“Sure, I’ll be right there.” Quinn immediately grabbed her car keys and left for the hospital. In about thirty minutes, she was already seated in Dr. Reynolds office.
“Mrs. Quinn. I’m so glad you could make it.”
“Of course. So doctor, you said there was a development. What’s that?”
