Aaron rarely had a quiet moment in his new office. He set his suitcase down in the corner, figuring he'd look for a decent place to live after work.
Just then, Steve walked in holding a stack of documents. "Aaron, the PR department just put these draft statements together. Take a look at them, will you?
"The core message is that you left Butterfield Group on your own terms for career reasons, and it had nothing to do with that so-called 'marriage fraud' scandal. We're also reserving the right to take legal action if needed."
Aaron took the papers and frowned slightly. "It's fine, but this statement isn't going to make much of a difference. If the Butterfields keep causing trouble, we'll still be stuck on the defensive. These days, people are just looking for drama. Hardly anyone cares about what's actually true."
