Sitting across from her, Ashton fiddled with his gun with a twisted grin.
He lunged forward, moving as quickly as a leopard, and ripped off the blindfold that had been covering Layla's eyes.
Blinded by the sudden brightness, she instinctively shut her eyes tight.
