The next morning, Charlotte called the detective assigned to their case, relaying their request for Gary to receive a psychiatric evaluation when found. The detective seemed surprised but agreed to make a note of it.
Days passed, stretched into weeks. The staff remained vigilant, but as time went on without incident, they began to relax slightly. The Rusty Anchor slowly regained its warm, welcoming atmosphere.
