"Is that true, Xyla?" Moira looked dubiously at Xyla.
"Mr. Horton, I… I didn't know. I hadn't heard about the pesticides from my family." Xyla shook her head and suppressed her panic when confronted by Jacob's oppressive gaze.
"Alright, let's put that matter aside." He waved in dismissal, not planning to pursue the matter.
"If Wendy is as terrible of a cook as others claimed, there was no way the Sadlers would've eaten her food. Doesn't that prove she's a great cook instead?
"I heard all this from Sean, who actually tried Wendy's food when he went to the Sadler residence during lunchtime. Mom, if you don't believe me, why don't you call Sean and ask?"
Jacob would've called Norman directly, but the latter's landline was broken.
At his words, Moira descended into deep thoughts. Jacob might favor Wendy, but Sean would never. He disliked her, after all.
