CHAPTER 172: CHICKENING OUT

"Okay, the doctors said you're free to go home now," I said as I got into my father's room in the hospital. I had just returned from the doctor's office.
"Heck yeah, I was thinking of getting out of here without their permission already, everything here sucks." He groaned.
I chuckled a bit at his words. He hasn't failed to show how much he hates the hospital since he got here.
"You won't have to do that now; I'm getting you out now." I smiled a little as I started packing up his things. We didn't bring much, so I ended up with minimal things.
"Can you walk on your own?" I asked him when I was done.
"Of course, I can manage, are we going now?" I nodded at his question.
He stood up from the bed like he was never even lying there. I allowed him to walk forward while I stayed behind in case of anything.
We took the elevator and soon got down. When we got to the lobby, the hospital was bustling with activities. The noise that welcomed us made me realize the real difference bet
