CHAPTER 171: MORE QUESTIONS

"Yes, thank you." I smiled cheerfully at the delivery man who had just delivered the pizza I ordered minutes ago. I'd been craving pizza even before returning from the office—it was all I could think about all evening.
"Just sign here, ma'am," he said, stretching a paper toward me. I signed it hurriedly, smiled at him, and rushed inside.
I settled into the chair and devoured every piece of the pizza without stopping, pausing only once to drink water.
It was only after I ate the last slice that I calmed down and started thinking again. It was almost like the pizza had made me forget about the storm brewing around me.
I looked around the room. Silence was my only company as I was the only one home; the clock ticking was the only sound I could hear.
"There must be something somewhere. I should be able to find something around here, at least," I muttered. Looking around the living room, I realized no way anyone could hide anything important here—especially not my father.
