CHAPTER 126 THE OPPORTUNITY

The Banquet went on as though nothing happened but Lauretta was already tired of it. She tried to put on a smile but it was too much of a shore to do so she stopped. Stanley returned with a glass of cherry. "Thank you," Lauretta said, accepting it. She gulped it down in a go. Damn, she needed it badly. "Slowdown will you," Stanley said with laughter in her voice.
