Grace’s POV
After dropping that bomb on me, Xander laughed out loud, telling me that he was just kidding. After cleaning, we continued touring around the office.
“Your face was a scene to look at.” he chuckled.
“So funny, I can’t even stop laughing. Ha ha.” I mocked him.
We were on the other side of the building where the warehouse was, Xander was telling me that he was thinking of dismantling the building altogether and building a new open space that would be much better for the working environment, as we wolves feel caged in closed buildings when we have to work long hours.
I agreed with his idea. As we both were talking more about our ideas my phone rang. I glanced at the caller ID to see Daniel's name flashing on the screen. My heart sank as I answered the call, and his disappointment and anger were evident from the moment he spoke.
“I can’t believe you. You not only harmed your sister, you didn’t even come to visit her once. How selfish are you.” he seethed through the phone.
