CHAPTER FOURTEEN COME IN

Bella looked at the man and their eyes met. Bella could clearly see the hate there, but she only smirked. She could tell what was going through the man's mind. She could tell he was already planning of how to take revenge on her. But she wasn't bothered. She can take care of herself any time any day. Hughes made sure of that while they were still in college. “Bella, come over here!” Kennedy suddenly commanded. Bella raised an eyebrow. She felt that it was a little strange. It sounded to her like Kennedy wanted to make every one there aware that she was familiar with him. It was as though he was warning them off, trying to let them know that he wouldn't let off anyone that dared revenge. Bella was a little flattered and felt protected. How many times had she dreamed of Kennedy doing just that? But she maintained her composure. She patted Mary on the back, then helped her off the floor and led her out of the room. Kennedy shifted to make way for them, then followed them out.
