Steel gave a second thought about where to keep the Star Stone. At first he thought to keep it with Violet but that would be too easy especially now that some people are aware that he visits Violet. He never knows what Tabitha is up to and he hopes that she doesn't pay a visit to Violet. *** A new day at the library, Violet was feeling refreshed for the new day. she had a good night after Steel's visit. She was working and smiling just as she thought about their conversation. She had also made up her mind to get rid of thoughts that will make her sad like Chris. The library was quite busy today due the occurrences that happened for the past few days. Work had I just resumed and a delivery came in for Violet. It had flowers load of chocolates, card, shoe box and another box that seemed like a dress was in it. Violet accepted it now and when she got the office to check with was she realized that it was of course from Chris. She had blocked his number and she didn't want to see or hear from him until he leaves his wife. Luca escorted her to her office to see who the gifts were from and to get himself a box of chocolate too. "Wow! Who is that from?" He asked. "Who do you think?" Violet rolled her eyes. "Damien?" Luca asked. "Uh no, it's from Chris. He is apologizing." She said with disgust. "if you don't want them I'll take it, Hand it over please." Luca said. "Oh I won't reject this, but I won't accept his stupid apology either." Violet said as she handed Luca the flower and some of the chocolates. Immediately a call came in on Violet's phone from an unknown number. "Did you receive the package" He said. "Gifts won't get you out of this one this time, call me when you do what you are supposed to do!" "Wait, Violet I'm sorry, I'm supposed to visit you today but I'm occupied with work and my wife is I want bac.." She cut the phone in anger immediately and smashed the rest of the gifts on the wall. Luca ran in and picked the rest of the gifts off the floor. "You are spoilt!" Yelled as he ran out with the gifts. Violet was having her lunch in her office during her break. She had noise of someone giggling outside. Luca, He was giggling like someone that was talking to his crush. She wondered what had come over him but she knew he was probably flirting with someone. At a point the laughter got louder and she was tempted to go see what was going on. She got outside to see Steel and Luca laughing together. "What is going on? What are you doing? "She asked. Oh she asked. "Oh, Luca is cracking me up here, I came to see him" Steel laughed. "You came to see Luca? Why?" she asked in confusion. "Yes, he came to see me. what was the crime?" Luca smiled. "Hey before I go, can I see you in your office violet?" Steel requested. "Ok boss." Violet and proceeded to her office. "Your face seems livelier today, what's the secret." Steel pulled her legs. "Good sleep." She gave a fake smile. Ok quick one, you have something to keep from the world, where would you keep it? Steel asked. Violet laughed, "Is this a trick question? Cos the answer is ill tell no one. But I'll keep it where no one would ever link me or mine to. That's my answer". "Hmm alright, smart" Steel said. "Ok that's all I came fore" he walked out of her office "Luca your test run is ready." Steel said as he Luca and the escorted themselves like two little boys outside and they approached Steel's Lamborghini. Luca jumped into his ride and zoomed off with steel sitting on the other side. Violet was concerned. Luca did not know that he just zoomed off with a hybrid. She was worried about what Steel will do to Luca. She called Luca's phone severally but he wasn't picking up. She began to sweat allover her body and palms. She did not know what to do or who to report to at this point, and she wouldn't forgive herself if any harm comes to Luca's way. She couldn't work or do anything for hours until she saw a black Lamborghini pull over in front of the library. Violet ran out immediately to see if Luca was safe. She saw Luca step out of the car smiling and carrying a box of their favorite cupcake. She jumped in front of him. "Luca don't ever scare me like that again." She yelled. "Err ok mom… why are you freaking out?" Luca was confused. "Why are you freaking out Violet, we went for a ride" Steel said looking at her in confusion. "Oh you thought I was gonna…" He Sighed. "Alright Luca, see you soon" He said and drove off. Violet felt guilty immediately. "What have I done?" she said lowly. "What are you on about? You clearly pissed him off. Don't tell me you are jealous. He is probably trying to get on my good side because likes you." "No I'm not jealous. Did he say that? That he likes me?" Violet asked. "Isn't it obvious" Luca said. "Oh I need to apologize to him." She said "You better do, call him or text him now." Luca said and walked into the library with the box of cupcakes on his hands. "Oh shit!" Violet exclaimed. She thought of how she'd tell Luca that she doesn't have his number and how she would collect his number from Luca. Hopefully they exchanged contact. She couldn't really think. She wondered if vampires even have phone numbers or they just invade your thoughts to read your mind and show up whenever you want whenever they want. Violet felt like shooting herself after her awful display. She also felt really bad because that might be the last time she'll see Steel again and the thought of that just ruined her whole day. She kept pacing round the library looking for the best way to get Luca's phone to check or Steel's. Luca caught her snooping around his table one time and thought she was there for the cupcakes. "I see that you can't help yourself, fine I'll divide it amongst us" he said. Violet was confused for a minute but she quickly caught up with him. "Oh yea, You're too kind" She smiled as Luca handed the box of cupcake to her. "Have you called him?" Luca asked. "Not yet." She said. "So what are you waiting for?" Luca pestered her. "I just hope you know that your fight won't stop us from seeing. We are cool bros now, I even showed him where I live." "Wow you did? No problem I'll call him when I get home don't worry." She said. They are bros now violet thought at least bros have each other's phone number. "So did you guys exchange numbers like real bros do?" she asked stylishly. "Hmm I forgot to ask, I'll get it from you then." He said "O…kay." She immediately left for her office. *** Steel drove home with his feelings hurt. It was like de ja vu all over again but this time without a giant crucifix, holy water, chants and an exorcist. He felt insulted and disappointed at the same time. Did Violet just think he was going to eat her friend like a hungry animal. It's like she didn't even know who he was. His guts and Tabitha was right after all. You can't trust humans, they are weak, fragile and they will betray you without second thoughts.
