Chapter 13

Violet tried to take a nap in her room. She laid down on her bed for about thirty minutes but couldn't get a shut eye. So she thought of something she could do that will make her fall asleep. She remembers her dildo and thought to play with it for a while so she searched her drawer and got comfortable on the bed, she turned it on but the battery was dead so she walked to the sitting room in frustration to borrow the battery for the television remote. She was going back to her room to please herself, then she met him standing there at the corner of her room. She jumped on him with excitement in her eyes and a dildo in her hand. "Stay away from me please, why are you hugging?" He asked in confusion. "I miss you of course. Where have you been?" She asked in a pretense crying voice. Steel tried to push her of. "At least get that thing away from me." He said pushing her off. "Oh you seem to always visit me in my most embarrassing moments." She hid the dildo under her duvet. "Hmm like I take my spooky mirror and wait for you to just embarrass yourself? Come on" He snickered. "Or just full of embarrassing moments" he paused "A hot mess" he shook his head and smiled. She rolled her eyes at him. "So What's been up with you? Did you see what happened a few days ago in the city? The whole bat scenario? What was that about?" She asked. "Why are you asking me?" Steel looked her dead in the eyes. "Cos its bats, and it gave vampire vibes. So should we prepare for a vampire invasion? Are you guys finally ready to kill us all?" she said with a lot of curiosity and excitement in her eyes. Steel was confused at her expression. "Aren't you supposed to be afraid if you think there might be a slightest chance of you being killed? You are a mortal." He sighed. "That wasn't me anyway those where my rivals. I don't know who they are but they are here for me or something that's mine" Steel said. "Man it was crazy, the sky was so dark and I even got attacked by a bat." She said casually. "You did? Did it hurt you? Where? Let me see." He grabbed her checking her skin to see. "Aww you really care about me, don't worry it landed on my cloth and I yanked it off immediately?" He brushed her to the other side after seeing that she was alright and she giggled. "How was your trip?" He asked. "Didn't go…wait how did you know about my trip. Hmm so much for 'I have a spooky mirror'. Maybe you do have a spooky mirror weirdo." She mocked. "Please don't flatter yourself, You're not my type. I have eyes and ears everywhere I'm not watching you specifically." "So what's your type." She teased. "Hmm let's see, a beautiful blood sucking damsel." He smiled. "I don't think you fit in that category" He sized her with his eyes. Violet laughed so hard. "Before you flee again, the detective was here earlier today, he kept asking question and saying some other people had similar experience as me, which brings me to my question." She squinted her eyes a little bit "How many other people do you pay a visit like me?" She smiled. "Only you and people I want to kill why? He asked with a straight face. "So why haven't you killed me yet?" "Cos it's pointless sis…" "Or you like me." She cut him before he finished he sentences. "Oh dear." Steel couldn't take so he flew with the wind "At least admit that you're a bit found of me." She yelled at the wind. "Don't go again." she whispered under her breath. "What is it? why are you yelling?" Mara ran to her room. "Oh I was on the phone." She said with a nervous smile. "But there is no phone on your hand" Mara questioned. "Stay away from my room miss." She yelled. "Oh sorry!" Mara shook her head and left. As steel left Violet's he had a clue of exactly where to keep the star stone. *** Steel got to his Manor and met his ex-girlfriend Tabitha waiting for him. Steel never really met his mate or anything like that. He has had the freedom to love and lust as he pleased. But when he was attracted to someone, he went for it immediately. Who would refuse him anyway? He was a beautiful being with charm that would make you forget his monstrosity. Tabitha and steel were together for decades. They lived many lives together until Steel got tired of the idea of them being together. Steel requested for a break from Tabitha when he got tired of the relationship but the break never came to an end and Tabitha seems okay with. She also had her short comings on the relationship and has moved on even before steel requested for a break. But since the separated, she just got better at antagonizing any of his ideas concerning his government. Steel walk to his bar and met Tabitha sitting there. She had already served herself. He called out for bottler but got no response. "What do you want Tabitha?." He asked. "Can't I check up on my lover anymore?" She asked. "Of course you can, but your visits scare me. So what is the problem this time." "No issue, I've just been thinking about incident the other day. I feel like it is more dangerous when we don't know what we are fighting." Tabitha said. "Well if you have an idea maybe you should let us know what it is, but I'm trying my best to keep us safe here" Steel said. "Really? You are?" She kept out a snicker. "What do you mean by that." He asked angrily. "It seems you have a lot more regular stuff on your plate than just than what were used to" Tabitha responded. "Tabitha, if you have something to say, its best you say it now." Steel got angrier. "I'm talking about the human steel, don't play dumb." "And what has that got to do with?" He asked raising a brow. "Remember the last time you tried to get involved with a human hmm? How did that end for you? And how are you sure the same won't happen this time?" "It's not nothing personal. It just shows weakness for someone rules both a vampire and werewolf community here." Tabitha said. "So you came here to advise me. Wow Tabitha you're too much. This is why you'll always dare to my heart." He said with sarcasm as he led her to the door. "Wait steel, I'm worried about you…" Steel slammed the door on her face. He saw Gay rushing out of the winery. "Gay, why did you let Tabitha in?" He asked angrily. "Tabitha! Where?" Gay asked in surprise. "She just let here. She said she came to advice me." He shook his head. "Since when did Tabitha start having your interest in mind? Ridiculous!" Gay laughed out. "I don't want her here on casual visit again unless it formal and urgent please." Steel said. "I'll see to that sire." Gay replied. Steel was never pleased to see Tabitha. Yes, the left on a casual note but since then all she has done is antagonize him. She was always found a way to in the middle of shady activities with his enemies. Although Tabitha was right about one thing; the last time steel tried to get involved with a human, it did not end well for either of them. She was beautiful, blonde hair, Fair skin, her body was sculptured in the right areas, she glowed in the corn farm like a young median. She was then orphan but the lived with the reverend of Santa Maria catholic church in Zamora Spain. When steel first approached Emilia, she responded nicely, and they started getting to know easy other. Steel got fond of her easily but he had to hold back. Considering that she was daughter of a reverend. But Emilia was so clingy that she wanted to know all about steel. He tried to stay away from her for a little while but Emilia couldn't stay away from him. When Steel saw that the love Emilia had for him was strong he then called her out one night on the full moon and told her about who he really is. Emilia did not believe until steel showed her his real form. Emilia was terrified but steel immediately transformed and tried to calm her down. He held her down and made her promised him that she wouldn't expose him to anyone else. Emilia calmed down and stayed with steel for a while asking him questions about how he became a werewolf or vampire. "I was born like this Emilia; this is who I am." He said. Emilia hugged him passionately and assured him that his secret is safe with her. She stayed with him longer that night then took her leave very early in the morning. Something about her told steel that she was going to betray him and a bigger doom is on the way. Steel gave her the benefit of a doubt to trust her. But he knew at the back of his mind that she would betray him.
