Chapter 2 My Client
Chapter Two My Client
Chapter Two Appointment My Client
After dinner, Billy went out for a night party organized by one of his business partners while Allison retreated to her bedroom. Allison was alone in her bedroom thinking of how to handle the situation on the ground.
She decided not to see Nicolas, Billy’s best friend again because she concluded in her mind that he must have already known about it and if he wasn’t in support Billy wouldn’t have mentioned it to her. She wept, no one was there to share her burden with.
Her best friend Elizabeth, is out of town. She went for a business deal in California.
She decided to sleep and take care of the situation tomorrow.
Bzzzz, Bzzzzz, Bzzzzzz
They were startled awake at the sound and the vibration of the alarm, Billy stretched his hand to switch on the room light.
Billy came back so late from the party yesterday, that he lay on the bed discreetly so that he wouldn’t wake Allison up.
Allison woke up from her bed, yawning and pandiculating.
“When did you come back from the party?” she inquired curiously.
“Not even good morning,” he said as he walked to the bathroom.
“Whatever, I thought you were not sleeping there.” She said.
He came out of the bathroom with his toothbrush and the paste. “Have I ever slept outside before?” he inquired while he opened the toothpaste.
“it looks as if there are new changes in you, so I can’t predict your behaviour anymore.” She said walking to where she placed her brush.
He smiled, “Still on yesterday’s matter. So have you considered the orphanage home they’re going to.”
“I’m not taking them to an orphanage, I will raise them myself they’re my kids.”
“Why are you so obstinate about this? Are you sure it’s the IVF pregnancy that’s there?” He inquired and walked to wash his teeth.
“Of course, do you even know how crazy your request sounds? Dumping my babies in a motherless baby home.” She said as she watched him walk to the bathroom.
After he was done washing his teeth at the basin, he washed his face and took a deep breath.
“I have a place I have to go, we will talk about it when I’m done. it’s too early for talks like this.” He said as he reached for his towel in the bedroom and walked back to the bathroom to have his bath.
“Seriously you better let’s talk about it now because I’m not going to take them to the orphanage,” she insisted with a little increase in her voice.
Billy ignored her words after he was done having his bath. He got into a grey suit and put on a dark shade. He combed his hair and stood in front of the mirror to make sure everything was in perfect place.
Allison was infuriated but decided to talk about it when Billy came back from where he was going. It’s s Saturday which is very unusual for Billy not to be at home. It must be an important appointment, Allison assumed.
Billy walked out of the room after he had confirmed that everything was in perfect place. A notification popped up on her phone reminding her of her appointment with one of her clients.
She’s a jewelry designer and she’s very good at it.
“Damn! I forgot about my appointment with Miss Georgina,” she said and rushed to the basin to wash her teeth. After she was done washing her teeth, she entered the bathroom to take her bath.
She got into a nice outfit, beautiful but official. She joined Billy in the dining for breakfast.
Billy was surprised to see in her but didn’t bother asking. Allison always has an appointment with clients on Saturdays. Billy was surprised because she didn’t act like she had an appointment with anybody.
Allison rarely engages in conversation with Billy in the morning, she doesn’t like anything to waste her time whenever she’s going to work.
“You didn’t sound like you have an appointment with someone today,” Billy said.
“That’s none of your business, Billy,” she replied as she sat on the chair.
He smiled and emptied his glass of water. He walked out of the room with his driver and Allison watched him as he strutted out.
After some minutes, Allison was done with her meal and headed to the garage. She hopped inside her black Mercedes and drove out.
Billy wanted to employ a driver for her but she refused, she enjoy driving.
After a minute's drive, she got to her jewelry store. Her employees were already there, putting everything in the order. She walked to her office and settled down there, waiting for Miss Georgina.
Not long after she went to the office, Miss Georgina walked in and asked of her. She was directed to her office.
Allison was already drafting the design, and while she was drafting the design she heard a knock on her door.
“Come in please,” she said while she continued drafting.
The highly anticipated Miss Georgina walked in, “ Good morning, Mrs. Benson,” she greeted with a smile on her face.
“Good morning, Miss Georgina,” Allison replied, returning the smile. “Please you can have your seat.”
She settled down on her seat, “Thank you.”
“About the design you talked about, I have drafted one out already. Check it out,” Allison said showing her the design she drafted out for her. Allison met her online, Miss Georgina saw one of her jewelry designs and would love to make something similar to that but will have some little upgrade.
Miss Georgina explained how he wanted the design to be and Allison was drafting out the sketch showing her what it would look like after she finished the design. After every sketch Miss. Georgina would always ask for an improvement or pinpoint an error in the sketch and Allison would draft another one until they had a perfect design for it.
Allison gave her an expensive price, but Miss Georgina couldn’t negotiate because of the stress she put Allison through. After she made the payment, they shook each other and Miss Georgina left.
Allison called for one of her employees who is always in charge whenever she’s not around.
“Hey Juliet, wants to see you in the office right now and come with the finance file,” Allison said in a commanding tone.
She walked in with the file as instructed, Allison asked about the sales and those who had booked an appointment with her on Monday. She collected the file from her and they both analyzed the file. Make sure there are no errors in the accounts made.
After they were done with that, Allison sent Juliet back to her post and had a nap. She negotiated with some of her clients on phones and in her offices; she was busy throughout the day.
Immediately it was 4 pm, and she ordered her sales girls to close the store. After she was done at the store, she hopped in her car and headed home.
