No matter what Alex threw at her, Mandy would just say what was on her mind.
With a hint of hesitation, Alex stayed silent and pressed his lips into a thin line.
After a pause, he responded, "I won't."
Mandy was so mad that she started trembling. With her feelings so gravely unappreciated, she was too fed up to even ask why.
She gritted her teeth and slowly made her way into the car.
Seeing Mandy was wearing thin clothes, Alex turned on the car heater and asked, "Is this warm enough?"
Mandy leaned back in the rear seat and shut her eyes, ignoring him.
What a blockhead! Alex deserved to be thrown into the sea to rot.
Mandy even naively thought he'd come to his senses and confess his feelings for her. She couldn't help but snort.
Alex sensed Mandy was frustrated. As he drove, he'd looked at the rear mirror now and then to check on her.
The entire ride was quiet.
Eventually, Alex drove into the Stewart residence. Right after he pulled up, he heard the car door opening.
