Mandy was taken aback as Alex tapped on her feet and said, "Raise your foot." Mandy instinctively raised her foot. Alex grabbed her cold ankle, gently dusted it off, and slipped her foot into the shoe. Alex treated Mandy gently as she gazed down at him. At that point, she had an illusion that he was her loyal servant bowing at her feet. It was a strange feeling she had never come across. She felt like she had tamed an unruly beast, as if the dull Alex finally came to his senses. Mandy just stared intently at Alex when Clyde stood next to them and fixed his darkened gaze on her. She didn't even spare Clyde a glance, and he felt awful about it. "There, all done." Alex stood up. Mandy suddenly staggered backward, and Alex subconsciously put his hand on her waist to catch her.
