Chapter 5

Samantha studied wedding planning abroad. Before returning to China, she took a fancy to a marriage planning company called "Vows for Eternity" and delivered her resume. Jonathan pulled a few strings for her and she was hired without going through an interview. Of course, Samantha wasn't going to slack off because she had a powerful man to back her up. She woke up early, she took her sleeping son into Pearl's bed, and she then went to the kitchen to make breakfast. She took a shower after eating, got into some clean clothes, and left with her bag. As soon as she arrived downstairs, she saw Jonathan in casual clothes leaning on the car door smoking. Jonathan was a handsome man with thick, black eyebrows, a height of 1.8 meters, broad shoulders and a narrow waist. He exudes an aura of security and masculinity. His long career in the police force has given him, strength, courage and confidence. When he wears his uniform he becomes a model police officer and he is the perfect husband to an unmarried woman like Samantha. "Have you eaten breakfast yet?" "Not yet." Jonathan hurriedly put out the cigarette, and he puffed out the remaining smoke. Through the smoke, his eyes were deeply focused on the woman, and his heart was hot. Samantha wore a simple white shirt, a knee-length skirt, and she wore her hair in a ponytail. Samantha's face was exquisite and flawless, her beautiful eyes were crystal clear and the sun made them look like jewels. When they first met, she was only 17 years old. Although she had been a mother for four years, she was still pure and clean at heart, and he loved her for that very much. "I made some breakfast for you." After getting in the car, Samantha took out the lunch box and handed it to Jonathan. "If my future wife made it, I'll gladly eat it." Jonathan picked up a fried wonton and fed it to Samantha first, he then stuffed it into his mouth and chewed it lightly, he then said with delight. "It's delicious." Samantha sneered at him kindly, "Future wife? It looks like the first-class deputy is cozying up to me now." "Sooner or later." Jonathan raised his eyebrows, determined to win. Samantha didn't comment, her diamond-shaped lips were raised slightly. His cheeks were slightly red as he laughed, his heart was shaken when he saw it. They arrived at the company, Samantha got out of the car. Suddenly a Lamborghini stopped in front of the car. "Ms. Yan, welcome!" The manager brought a few staff out to greet her enthusiastically. Samantha thought they were talking to her. Before she responded, she saw the manager bend over and open the Lamborghini door and handed his arm over. His posture was like a butler humbly serving his master, which showed just how noble the people inside the car were. "Let's go in." Jonathan had a bad feeling and he took her inside with a grim expression. Samantha was curious, she glanced back, and saw a slender, snow-white lady getting out of the car. Exquisite leather shoes studded with diamonds carefully stepped on the ground, then a woman in a custom-made dress stood in the sun, her face was covered with black sunglasses. Her chin was raised, and she looked at everyone else like animals. "Ms. Yan, congratulations on your wedding!" The staff squatted down to tidy up the ground for her and carefully serve the wealthy customer. "We have invited our best staff for your wedding in particular." Cassandra lowered her sunglasses, she let out a brief chuckle and asked, "Who is the woman with the officer?" "Oh, her?" The manager rolled his eyes and remembered an inside story, "I heard that someone was introduced to the job by a high-ranking police officer, that must be her." "Interesting," Cassandra raised her eyebrows and ordered. "I want her to serve at my wedding, no one else. I'll pay all the fees at once." "G-great!" The manager hesitated for a second, but he agreed anyway, "Ms. Yan, you are simply above and beyond all noble women." Cassandra smiled triumphantly, then sat back in the car, "Send her to my house. Remember, from makeup to dressing to host, she is alone, don't mess it up." "Yes." The manager carefully closed the car door and bowed ninety degrees to send her away. On her first day of work, she vaguely followed the orders given to her, even before she sat at her desk. When she arrived at her father's Xiangjiang Villa, she knew that she had entered the spider web of her sister Cassandra, but she cherished the job and went in anyway. "That hurt!" Cassandra overreacted on purpose. Before the brush even touched her scalp, she pulled on Samantha's hair backhand and pushed her on the floor. Samantha pressed her scalp with pain, "Ms. Yan, I haven't even touched you yet, how could I have hurt you?" Cassandra suddenly became angry, she jumped up and slapped her, her face was distorted as she shouted, "Don't you dare talk to me like that! Don't you know who I am? I can make you disappear in minutes!" Samantha looked down, clenched the brush's handle tightly, she could only endure. She doesn't care who Cassandra wants to marry, but looking at her regal aura, she knew that this villainess was easy to offend. "I'm sorry, Miss Yan." "Filthy bitch!" Cassandra sat down again, her feet were trembling with excitement on the dressing table, she looked like a heavenly queen, and her eyes were brewing poisonous schemes. She has been thinking about it for the past four years. This time she will definitely kill her sister. She wasn't going to let her die gently, it would be too easy to have her die by car accident or murder. She wanted to humiliate her, she wanted to make her suffer before she dies. Four years of glory and wealth made Cassandra stand at the pinnacle of her life and her ego, but all of it can be easily taken away. For as long as she exists she would never find peace.
