Chapter 13 What Is He Doing?

As Mason raised his head in impatience to reprimand her, he realized that her forehead was covered in sweat, and her eyes had turned red. Thus, the words at the edge of his lips did not make it out. Mason wrinkled his brow. What was he doing? She was a pregnant woman, who had taken her sister’s place in a desperate attempt to marry into the Yeich family. He should have her thrown out immediately, yet he was giving her chances to stay here? Coming back to his senses, Mason grabbed Claire by the wrist and pushed her away. Claire was not expecting that to happen. Her delicate shoulders hit the hard wall, and she raised her head to meet Mason’s cold gaze. “Get the f*ck out of here.” Holding her throbbing shoulder, she gave him a confused look. “What’s the point of staying here when you don’t know how to do anything? Get out of here before I lose my temper!” “You!” Feeling that Mason was being ridiculous, Claire curled her hands into fists. However, after thinking about it, she felt that it was true that she had not done any help. Initially, Claire felt that they had to live life anyway and since she had already married him, she did not pay much attention to that matter. In a blink of an eye, two years had passed. However she did not rejoice along with him, because he had suddenly filed for divorce, the reason being that she had not fulfilled her duties as a wife. She did not know what her duties as a wife were. She got up early and prepared his meals every day. She did all the household chores, and all her money was given to the household. She had transformed from a vibrant young lady to a plain woman. Who had she done all that for? To be honest, Claire knew that they were all excuses.
