Seeing Asher visibly relax and Oliver alive, lifted a mountain of burden off my shoulders. But someone had tried to frame me, I couldn't forgive and forget.
“I am going to get to the bottom of this matter and once I do, heads are going to roll,” I announced, staring at Asher.
A hint of a smile I observed tugging at his lips at my statement. He never smiled.
“I am on it too. Will share the findings with you. Be very vigilant. It seems like we have some common enemies,” Asher told me while getting up and calling Oliver to his side.
Oliver refused and kept clutching my hand. He expectantly stared at me and asked.
“Will you have dinner with me? I am hungry.”
And it dawned on me that he mustn't have eaten anything amidst the kidnapping fiasco.
“You didn't eat anything?” I asked and he shook his head at me. It pained me to see that a child was left hungry because of someone's evil plans.
