Chapter 47 : Alpha supreme

MAXINE. My world slows down to a stop. I feel woozy now, like the air has been sucked out of everything around me. My heart seizes up, and before I know it, I’m already kneeling next to Ajax, feeling the side of his neck for a pulse. “Maxine….” he groans, and my body nearly gives way with relief.
