Alec’s POV.
I stared at my computer screen, momentarily lost in thought. The numbers and names on the screen seemed to blend together as my mind wandered to other places. Perhaps it was the longing I felt for Alana, as her mother was returning today, and Izabel would take her place by her side. I wished I could have joined them much sooner, but I was tied up with important matters, including those with Killian, and not to forget Alana's father.
Killian, whom I had thought was Daniel's biggest hater, had been overshadowed by Richard, who seemed to despise Daniel even more. It came as no surprise that he swiftly found a replacement for Daniel during his daughter's wedding. Not that I would ever complain about that. It had worked out perfectly for me.
