Benedict's heart tightened, his brows furrowing as he bent down to lift her up.
The petite figure in his arms resembled an injured kitten, delicate and evoking sympathy.
"Let the doctor come and take a look at you."
"I don't need to see a doctor." Cordelia's gaze shimmered and appeared exceptionally soft, making one feel the urge to hold her close.

He dialed the doctor's number. "You're intentionally hiding your illness and creating opportunities for Mr. Archibald to scold me?"
