Chapter 3 Cordelia's Plan PART 1

Cordelia pouted, angered, and turned back into the house. The butler, Victor Brown, approached, smiling. "Mrs. Radcliffe, are you hungry? Shall I have them prepare something for you?" Having suffered a blow from Benedict, Cordelia was determined to get back at him. "Go make me a meal with the most expensive ingredients in the kitchen." "Of course, Mrs. Radcliffe." Victor didn't waste any time and hurried into the kitchen, instructing the chefs. During this time, Cordelia strolled around the front yard, quickly devising a plan. No matter what, she was going to make Benedict get a marriage license with her. Returning to the house, she caught a whiff of a delicious aroma, and the table was filled with delicacies. Benedict, the luxury enthusiast, ate so well every day. No wonder he carried such an arrogant air. After filling her stomach, Cordelia wandered in the large courtyard. The estate was too vast, and Cordelia's legs were tired before she could finish exploring. Back in Benedict's room, the decor was oppressively dark, seemingly ready to produce a lurking figure at any moment. Cordelia felt like sleeping in such a place would drive her insane! She called for the butler. "Victor, what time does Benedict usually come home?" "Mr. Radcliffe's return time is uncertain. Sometimes he doesn't come back for several days, and other times, he might not return for a month." Cordelia's face revealed a touch of melancholy. "So, it's difficult for me to meet him, isn't it?" Meanwhile, Benedict had a busy day at the company, with evening engagements. After a few drinks and finalizing a contract, he was ready to leave. Richard approached. "Mr. Radcliffe, should I notify the driver to take you home? Mrs. Radcliffe is waiting for you." Thinking about that annoying woman, Benedict felt a headache. He decided to ignore her for now and wait for her to use the fake marriage certificate on Archibald. "I'm not going back. Take me to the hotel suite." Benedict had a fixed presidential suite at the Radcliffe Group's five-star hotel, where he would stay if social events ran late. In the elevator, he waved lightly, and Richard understood that he didn't need to follow. Exiting the elevator, Benedict saw a petite figure squatting at his room door. The woman's delicate face, long eyelashes, dainty nose, and slightly pouting lips made her look like a kitten unable to enter. As Benedict approached and saw the woman's face clearly, his pupils tightened. "How did you find me?" His whereabouts were usually discreet, and he couldn't figure out how this woman repeatedly located him. Cordelia stood up, taking out their documents from her bag with a cheerful smile. "Mr. Radcliffe, I purposely waited for you. Let's get the license together tomorrow morning." "I've said it before. I won't get the license with you." Benedict just wanted to get the information he needed from Archibald. There was no need to entangle himself with such a troublesome woman. He opened the door, coldly locking Cordelia outside. Cordelia pounded on the door several times, her small hands sore, but there was no sign of the man inside wanting to open it. She squinted her clear and bright eyes, wondering, 'Alright, if you force me!' Taking a deep breath, she shouted, "Darling, even if you have kidney deficiency, I won't mind! The doctor said medication can help you. Let's give it a try..." Before Cordelia could finish her sentence, she was lifted inside by Benedict, as if she were a small cat! Thrown onto the bed, she hit it a bit hard, and before she could react, Benedict's fingertips pinched her delicate jaw, not gently, as if he wanted to crush it. The man's handsome face drew closer, enlarging in Cordelia's eyes. "What... what do you want?" "You said I have kidney deficiency, right? I'm here to prove whether I do or not. I just wonder if your fragile body can handle it."
