Chapter 113 The Jewellery
The store manager approached Cordelia with a welcoming smile. "Mrs. Radcliffe, right this way."
Cordelia felt a bit unfamiliar with the title but nodded and followed her.
The store wasn't as simple as it appeared. It spanned three floors, selling jewelry and evening gowns. Leading her forward, the manager stopped at a fitting room.
"Mrs. Radcliffe, please go ahead and change into the dress."
Cordelia was puzzled. "Why do I need to change?"
"Because Mr. Radcliffe mentioned that it's best to try the gown on with the jewellery to see which one suits you best," the manager patiently explained.
"Why so troublesome? Isn't it supposed to be displayed on a model?"
Cordelia grumbled, eyeing Benedict, who sat on the sofa exuding an aura of unapproachable elegance.
Benedict lifted his gaze, his tone icy. "They couldn't find a model as short as you."
'What do you mean by couldn't find a model as short as me? I'm not short, okay?' Cordelia retorted inwardly.
