CHAPTER 24: DESIRE AND DESPAIR

SELENE’S POV I didn’t care anymore, I was so angry by what Cameron just did and it felt like I could not express my anger because of the people watching me after the incident this morning. The worst part of it all was that he was begging me to tell him what was really going on with me. I can imagine if I had told him, he would have left me and gone to meet Emilia. I wanted to scream but I knew that Charles was coming after me because that was what Cameron always did. He would abandon me when I needed him the most and he would call Charles to his rescue. Except I need him this time and not Charles and there is nothing Charles can do to make me feel better. “Selene, are you fine or do you need me to come over?” Charles asked me through the mind link. “Yeah, I am fine. I am good. I think it is a little too late to be babysitting me. you should be with your mate,” I smiled through my tears as I mind linked him back. “Are you sure? But Cameron said that….” “I am fine, never mind. I
