Chapter 19 Grudge

"Mommy has some business to attend to, so I came to pick you up." Nicole turned to look at the kids and ceased her verbal sparring with Mark. "Let's go, we shouldn't linger with such a strange guy." Nicole led the kids away. Frustrated and helpless, Mark couldn't fathom the unreasonableness of this woman. Nicole walked past Travis, "Thank you, Travis." Gazing at the man's exquisitely handsome profile and imposing cold demeanor, she wished to escape at that very moment. If this man truly turned out to be their daddy... Nicole dared not delve further into that thought, silently fretting for her good friend. Travis nodded to Nicole, turning to walk towards his office. That woman had wisely chosen not to appear. However, this Nicole seemed somewhat suspicious as well. Before Nicole carried the kids down the stairs, Zoya walked to the doorway. She clutched a small strawberry and waved to Mark, "I'm going home now. See you next time, Mark!" As the elevator doors closed, Nicole gazed at the kids with a sense of resignation. "You nearly frightened me to death." Zoya hung her head and sheepishly raised her gaze. Clutching the hem of Nicole's clothing, she softly murmured, "Nicole, I'm sorry." The four kids followed suit, apologizing in unison. Observing Zoya's watery, sparkling eyes, Nicole's heart instantly melted. Witnessing the kids' sincere apologies, she felt an urge to reprimand herself. How could she have been so harsh on these little ones? Despite their mistakes, their cuteness was simply irresistible. The combination of five adorable kids and a striking beauty drew the attention of everyone in the company building as they stepped out of the elevator. Particularly, since these kids had recently appeared in the newspaper, bearing striking resemblance to Travis Blair, the employees couldn't help but gossip. Rumors began circulating in the company about the unexpected visit from Travis's illegitimate kids and their mom. ... "We arrive." Nicole drove, stopping in front of an elegant building. The entire structure exuded a lovely and delicate ambience, with a fairy-tale-like courtyard beyond the entrance, adorned with two adorable rabbit statues. This was the largest aristocratic kindergarten in the city, boasting exceptional faculty and exorbitant tuition fees that were considered astronomical for ordinary people. The affluent residents sent their kids here, seeking social connections and security. "Mom!" Zoya leaped into Sabrina's arms as soon as she exited the car, embracing her warmly. "My dear." Sabrina ruffled Zoya's hair affectionately, her gaze grateful as she looked at Nicole. Leroy saw the kindergarten, holding his head in distress. Looking at Sabrina with a look of grievance, he complained. "Mommy, can I not go to kindergarten?" Sabrina, with a stern face, shook her head, "No." Zoya started crying along. The other three had different expressions but didn't say anything. "Let's go handle your enrollment procedures." Nicole chuckled lightly, not admitting to taking pleasure in others' misfortune. Enrollment in kindergarten required submission for approval before obtaining enrollment eligibility. Nicole had already taken care of the approval process, and they were almost ready for enrollment. They arrived at the principal's office. Mr. Clements, over fifty, with gold-rimmed glasses, appeared very refined. Sabrina reached out her hand to shake hands with Mr. Clements. "The enrollment procedures have been taken care of, all that's left is for you to sign." Mr. Clements placed several documents on the table. Sabrina scanned them and signed her name. Zoya's cute face drooped, looking disheartened. The thought of having to stay here and attend classes with a bunch of little brats made her suddenly feel like her childhood wasn't so pleasant. "Mr. Clements." A sharp voice came from outside the door, somewhat grating and uncomfortable, lacking respect. Sabrina turned to look and saw a familiar figure. Unexpectedly, she encountered the younger sister of the scumbag Milo, Rosa, here. "Sabrina?!" Rosa, covering her mouth, stared at Sabrina in disbelief. Could it be haunted? Wasn't Sabrina long dead? "Who are you?" Sabrina pretended to look nonchalant at Rosa. "Thank god you're not Sabrina, Sabrina has long been dead." Rosa touched her chest, feeling some relief. She had seen Sabrina's body with her own eyes back then, there couldn't be a mistake. Sabrina snorted softly, a hint of resentment flashed in her heart. Back then, Rosa had caused trouble between her and Milo, even maligning Sabrina to Milo's parents. Although Rosa didn't directly participate in the incident, she was an accomplice. Rosa, with an arrogant attitude, walked towards Mr. Clements. She cast a jealous glance when she saw the kids around Sabrina. "Where did these wild kids come from?" Rosa sneered at the principal. Mr. Clements felt a bit embarrassed. His good manners prevented him from saying anything inappropriate. He replied, "They are new students." Rosa turned to look at Sabrina, still harboring doubts, especially when she saw Nicole. "Our kindergarten isn't a place where just anyone can enter. Mr. Clements, how did your enrollment screening go? Are you letting anyone in now?" Rosa coldly snorted. Mr. Clements didn't know how to respond. The kids fully met the requirements. "What are you up to?" Nicole glared at Rosa, her face flushed with anger. "Nothing, just wanted to tell you, this is a noble school, not a place for you." Rosa picked up the files on the table, squinting mockingly. She tossed the documents into the nearby trash can, leaving Nicole seething with anger. Rosa, after marrying into the Owens family, became even more unbearable. The Owens family were the largest shareholders behind the kindergarten, so Mr. Clements dared not oppose Rosa. "I don't care who you are, looking so much like that slut is already a mistake." Rosa smirked triumphantly. "Mr. Clements, get rid of these kids for me." "But..." Mr. Clements sighed, caught in the middle. "It seems you hold a grudge against Sabrina Navarro?" Sabrina chuckled lightly, suddenly speaking up.
