Chapter 13 Give Me Your Number
Georgia was unwilling to accept defeat.
Having schemed for years with no success, how could she allow another woman to usurp Travis from her grasp?!
Georgia dialed Tiana's number.
After two beeps, a somewhat lazy female voice answered.
"Hello, Georgia, what can I do for you?"
"Tiana, I command you to immediately investigate the identity of that woman!"
Georgia's tone was urgent.
Sabrina's voice, tinted with amusement, came through.
"Georgia, rest assured, I will not neglect my duties."
"It's been so long and you still haven't found out. Are you capable at all?"
Georgia's mind recalled the humiliation she had just experienced in the office, fueling her anger.
Having spent a large sum of money, yet the other party has no action.
She felt humiliated once more.
"I paid you, so you must listen to me! I command you to act immediately!"
Georgia vented her frustration over the phone, her expression filled with resentment.
Sabrina covered her mouth, unable to contain a light chuckle.
Since Georgia was so impatient to learn her identity, why not give her a pleasant surprise?
After all, Georgia had spent three million!
"Alright, Georgia, rest assured. I will get on it right away. Just wait and see."
The banquet hall is resplendent tonight, as it has been exclusively booked by the Blair Creations to host a grand reception, drawing distinguished guests from various circles.
Clans eagerly sought invitations as a mark of honor, willing to endure any hardship just to gain entry.
Georgia managed to secure an invitation by leveraging all available connections at her disposal. She deliberately began preparing early in the day, adorning herself in elegant attire.
She was determined to capture Travis's attention.
Upon entering the venue, Georgia immediately began scanning the surroundings for Travis's presence.
"Travis, may I inquire about your thoughts on the recent stock market crisis that befell the Blair Creations a few days ago?" the journalist presented the microphone to Travis.
Travis responded calmly, "Minor disturbances are a common occurrence."
Having spoken those words, he prepared to depart, but the journalist persisted in following him.
Danny, accompanied by bodyguards, intercepted the journalist.
"The interview ends here today."
As Travis walked in the opposite direction, his gaze fell upon a familiar figure.
His brow twitched as his eyes involuntarily fixated on the woman.
Sabrina was clad in a striking red backless evening gown with a skirt that swayed in undulating waves, resembling a crimson surge.
Some individuals are naturally luminescent.
Sabrina was precisely one of those individuals.
Upon her arrival, all eyes, including those of the journalists, were drawn to her.
Particularly when everyone noticed Sabrina walking towards Travis.
"Travis, we meet again." Sabrina smiled lightly.
Travis's expression darkened slightly as memories of the photo shown to him by Mark flashed through his mind.
It stirred up faint remnants of a memory from that night years ago.
The image of the woman before him gradually overlapped with Sabrina Navarro in the photograph, becoming indistinguishable.
"We seem to have a fateful encounter, wouldn't you agree, Travis?"
Sabrina lifted her wine glass and took a sip.
"Indeed."
Travis's face devoid of expression, his eyes seemingly veiled in a mist that obscured his true thoughts.
Although uttered emotionlessly by him, this word carried a profound meaning.
Sabrina's gaze met Georgia's, a hint of sly amusement evident in her eyes.
"Who are you?"
Georgia hastened to Sabrina's side, maintaining a composed facade.
Yet her eyes betrayed her anxiety.
Upon a brief glance, she recognized the woman as the one in the newspaper.
To stumble upon her again was unexpected!
Today, she would ascertain who dared to pursue the man she had set her sights on!
Sabrina swirled her wine glass, whispering in a volume only they could hear.
"Do you think I bear a striking resemblance to someone from your past?"
Faced with the current situation, Georgia forced herself to remain calm.
She awkwardly forced a smile and gripped Sabrina's arm, feigning enthusiasm.
"Sis, it's wonderful to see you alive."
"Where have you been all these years?"
Georgia feigned surprise, observing Sabrina's expressions discreetly.
Sabrina pushed away Georgia's hand, taking a step back towards Travis.
"Who are you? Do we know each other?"
Georgia appeared somewhat embarrassed, not anticipating Sabrina's response.
But she continued to maintain a facade of sisterly affection, "Sabrina, it's me, your younger sister Georgia. You're the eldest daughter of the Navarro family, Sabrina Navarro. Have you forgotten?"
Sabrina raised an eyebrow in surprise, "I am indeed from the Navarro family, but I have no sisters and do not recognize you."
Having spoken, Sabrina chose not to engage further with Georgia's assumptions, instead turning her gaze towards Travis.
"Travis, since we seem to have a connection, give me your number."
Sabrina wore a smile on her lips, exuding charm and allure in her every movement.
When she approached with her seductive aura, Travis did not find her scent repulsive.
Rather, there was a hint of pleasantness that brought a sense of tranquility.
Observing this scene, Georgia's expression held a touch of schadenfreude.
This woman truly overestimated herself.
Within thirty seconds, Travis would surely dismiss her!
Travis looked down at the woman with a radiant smile before swiftly retrieving his phone to exchange numbers, leaving the onlookers astonished.
Georgia's face turned ashen, finding it unbelievable.
Many women had tried to approach Travis, but Sabrina was the first to succeed.
Sabrina reclaimed her phone and playfully kissed her phone.
"Let's keep in touch, Travis."
Her voice carried a hint of playfulness and allure, resonating deeply within the hearts of those present.
Sabrina departed, leaving the others in a prolonged state of disbelief.
Unnoticed in a corner, a few kids were observing the unfolding scene.
"Is Mommy really going to get Daddy back?"
Kevin, turned to his siblings, inquiring softly.
Yusuf maintained a gentle yet resolute expression.
"I support Mommy. All I want is for her to be happy."
