572: THE FURY AND FRUSTRATION
ARIEL'S POV
Marcus was insensible, and I could see that his face was bleeding slightly. Confusion was all over my face as I was trying to grasp what I was seeing at the moment.
What in the world happened here? I could only guess that we had been attacked once again.
I went down and tapped Marcus continuously, trying to see if his eyes could open, but he didn't wake up, and I didn't give up. I hit his face with my purse repeatedly, doing that vigorously, until his eyes finally opened; he sat down immediately as he gasped while I shifted backward a little.
"Marcus," I called his name. He shook his hand before he rubbed his face.
"What happened? Who did this to you?" I asked him.
"Some men came to the mansion and attacked us. They had masks on their faces, but they also had guns."
"Marcus, please tell me exactly what happened. How did they get in here? And how many men were there?"
