ARIEL'S POV I slowly regained consciousness; the sterile smell of the hospital filled my senses, and the soft hum of machinery surrounded me. Blinking against the harsh fluorescent lights, I struggled to piece together what had happened, my mind still foggy from the ordeal. Turning my head slightly, I saw a doctor standing by my bedside, his expression gentle yet concerned. "You're awake," he said, his voice a soothing presence amidst the confusion swirling in my mind. Gently sitting up, I surveyed my surroundings, trying to make sense of the situation. Memories of the cemetery flooded back, followed by the sudden darkness that had swallowed me whole.
