469: THE FEELING IN THESE BUILDINGS
ARIEL'S POV
I slowly regained consciousness; the sterile smell of the hospital filled my senses, and the soft hum of machinery surrounded me. Blinking against the harsh fluorescent lights, I struggled to piece together what had happened, my mind still foggy from the ordeal.
Turning my head slightly, I saw a doctor standing by my bedside, his expression gentle yet concerned. "You're awake," he said, his voice a soothing presence amidst the confusion swirling in my mind.
Gently sitting up, I surveyed my surroundings, trying to make sense of the situation. Memories of the cemetery flooded back, followed by the sudden darkness that had swallowed me whole. Panic fluttered in my chest as I realized I was in a hospital bed, far removed from the tranquility of Luke's grave.
"Where's Luke?" I asked, my voice trembling with anxiety. "Is he okay?"
