Chapter 106
What a pity for Jared's unyielding spirit. Had he been born in a time of chaos and war, he might've been an excellent candidate for success.
I smirked and began nonchalantly, "Mr. Lawson, I haven't withdrawn the lawsuit on my end yet. You'd better handle this properly."
I hung up and waited for Jared's response. In less than ten minutes, his video apology circulated the internet, and everyone now knew who the real homewrecker was. Surprisingly, he never once mentioned Yvonne in the video.
"Jared is really something else," Hayden remarked as we watched the news.
"Did you think he did it for Yvonne?"
"What else could it be?"
Matters of the heart weren't Hayden's forte, but as a CEO, he couldn't miss the schemes at play, could he?
"Jared's wary of me," I said. "He knows exactly how dragging Yvonne into this mess will affect Xavier."
He didn't dare to provoke me.
Gawking at me, Hayden said, "I didn't think of it that way. But this is fine as well. It saves a lot of trouble."
