Chapter 26

　　I was awakened by a nightmare again. 　　In the darkness, Cristin instinctively rushed over and hugged me, "Another bad dream?" 　　I gave a soft "hm" as an answer. 　　Yes, I dreamed of it again. I dreamed that Zach found me and then strangled my neck, asking me why I betrayed him again and again. 　　It’s the same dream recurring every night. 　　"It's okay, it's okay," Cristin comforted me as she patted my back while hugging me. "He can't catch us. It's okay, my lady, don't be afraid." 　　She repeated these words over and over again, not so much as to comfort me but to comfort herself. 　　Why do I find it hard to believe that she’s scared too? 　　These days, we have been circling the city of Yecheng, playing hide-and-seek with officers and soldiers every day.
