Chapter 5

We all discussed amongst ourselves with Senra, especially since he is very cautious about the alpha’s safety. Of course, everyone would hate it if the alpha ever encountered dangers but Senra is at the top of the worrywarts. “Maybe we should place more guards with the alpha,” Senra says out of nowhere and we all just frowned. “Do you know how much the alpha would hate that?”, I ask and he just nodded in realization. “Maybe we should just give the alpha the biggest and strongest armors we can find!”, Eric suggests naively and I just face palm myself. “That’s the stupidest idea I’ve heard in this meeting so far,” I say as Ruer agrees with me. The 3 troublemakers and their leader look quite confused as all the other pack members just shook their heads. We are all currently undergoing a meeting regarding the alpha’s safety, something we haven’t done for years now. The assassin’s move was very irregular and the fact he could go as far as hurt the alpha is even more baffling. Even Ruer can’t touch a single hair of the alpha, the alpha is indeed that strong. He’s also probably very perplexed by this situation, the alpha I mean. “Umm, how about this? We can just monitor the alpha for now and ask his suggestion on how to improve the security of the main building?”, Nemue, a beta chancellor suggested. Honestly, not a bad idea. But knowing the alpha, he probably wouldn’t want to take measures. He’d prefer if this issue remains here and not to go outside the main building. “He’ll probably disregard the issue and go for the next demon hunt,” Ruer logically said as we all agreed. “He’s right,” I remarked as I continue to record the meeting. Senra, at my right hand side keeps poking my arm as I keep frowning and tutting at him to stop. “Will you stop? I’m doing something here,” I said as he just nodded. He then proceeded to lean his head on my shoulder, I ignore him as I continue my recording. At least he’s not bothering me with his constant poking. As time goes by, we all don’t come to a conclusion. We are still sitting here, constantly looking for a solution. Of course at least 10 of our own are outside the alpha’s room and watching the window just in case. Senra’s head on my shoulder seems to have gotten heavier as I notice his small snores, I frown and shrugged his head out of my aching shoulder blades. “You’re so mean,” he pouted and I just shrugged as I continue listening to the meeting without batting an eye. “Isn’t this supposed to be a secret meeting though?”, Senra asks as he looks at what I was doing. “No, it’s not,” I curtly say as I hear a great suggestion from one of the troublemakers, Avi. “H-how about we just secretly guard the alpha, just tell him we want to be with him or stuff like that,” he says, and quickly. “Not gonna lie, that’s the most words I’ve heard from him, in a day,” Senra whispers to me as I look at Avi in shock and look at Ruer to see he was also in major shock. Avi looks at all of us as he turns shy, “Wh-what?”, he asks. As we recover from our shock, they all agree that idea was best fit for now. Since we’ve been in this meeting for 3 hours already. “Can I get the record later today?”, Ruer asks and I nod. “I’m gonna put it in your room, no worries,” I say as I carry my equipment outside. Senra stopped me, “Let me carry that for you Semi.” He quickly grabbed my equipment as I just accept his offer, “Thank you Senra.” I was going to feel touched when he suddenly smashed the door to my face and quickly left, with my equipment. Everyone remaining at the room laughed and I frown as I open the door myself and catch up to Senra. “Give that to me!”, I say as I snatch the equipment away from Senra andrun towards my office. I better work on this document now or else the alpha is going to catch us on act. I quickly finished the report and put it in Ruer’s room secretly because I’d heard the alpha has actually woken up again and are with the troublesome triplets and Senra. I visited the room to see the troublemakers playing as Senra takes care of the alpha, “Hey Semi!”, Senra greets me as I enter the room and I just nod. Alpha just nods at me as I bring in the medicine for him, “Here’s the medicine,” I say as I hand the medicine to the alpha. He frowns as he looks at the medicine, “I’m strong enough, why do I need this?”, he asks stubbornly and I try to be patient at him as I answer, “Of course alpha, it’s just to make your recovery even quicker.” I give him some flowery words as he nodded and his pride being fed somehow made him drink the medicine I just gave him. Senra winks at me in approval and I just give him my thumbs up. The alpha noticed this gesture and frowns, “Are you two dating or something?” “No! No way!”, I shook my head furiously as I frown at Senra whom just smirked and it irked me, badly. I frown at him as the alpha appears to have become agitated from this interaction, I get confused and brush it off as I report to the alpha the other pack’s movements especially in demon hunts. “Just make sure that other packs don’t get access to our demon hunt area, or we’ll be at a great disadvantage from that,” he says and I just nod as I jot down some notes. He then frowns again, “Wolf and cubs, leave us be.” And so they exit the room, leaving me with the alpha.
