Chapter 4

Love is a luxury for someone like the alpha, whom is always out and about caring for the whole pack. It would have been great if the alpha would produce an heir, but it’s alright. Currently, the alpha is only 24 years old, only 5 years since his enthronement. “I’ll be retreating now alpha,” I said as I made sure to not make any noise as I was going outside. After he’d drank water, he immediately fell back asleep and left me standing there. As I went out of the alpha’s room, I saw my subordinates by the door with their heads pressed firmly on the door. “What are y-?,” I was stopped when Yul, a beta knight, placed his hand on my mouth. “Shh,” they all shushed me as they look at the room to see the alpha sleeping and closing the door as quietly as they can. I look around and only the 3 troublemakers were there. Basically this group is where Eric belongs to, the ones who I sat next to earlier waiting to eat breakfast. The troublemakers consist of Eric, Yul and the quiet but the worst of them all, Avi. “What were you talking about?”, “Why did I hear something bang?”, Eric and Yul bombarded me with questions and I just tried to pry them off of me. As I turn around, I see Avi trying to open the alpha’s room. I immediately grabbed him by his collar, “What’s wrong with you? Don’t enter the alpha’s room, he’s sleeping!”, I whisper-shouted. This is what I meant by he’s the worst of the three, he does all the troublesome things in silence. Which makes it harder to monitor him, while the others would shout what they would do, he, on the other hand, would do it without warning. “Let’s open the door!”, Yul suggested and Eric nodded. I frowned at them, “You literally just shushed me when I was exiting, now you’re trying to wake the alpha?” They continued to hover at the door and I just sighed, I grabbed the three of them by the collar and entered the kitchen. “Finish eating your food before I crush your eggs,” I threatened and they obediently sat down. I sat down beside Eric again. Honestly, this isn’t even my job, I’m only supposed to care for the alpha’s affairs and arrange his schedules. Unfortunately, the alpha’s most trusted companion, Senra, is away on a mission. Senra was the one to keep the 3 troublemakers on check and also protect the alpha from dangers. If only Senra had been here, the alpha wouldn’t have been attacked. Senra is also an alpha, however, he has recessive alpha genes. This caused for him to be thrown away by his previous pack and he was saved by our current alpha, this caused an immense loyalty from Senra to our alpha. Senra is also rather attractive, he has blonde hair and green eyes. He is also a fan-favorite amongst women of the pack for he exudes a mysterious feel around him, maybe due to his outfit of all black and covering his face. Overall, he’s also just a troublemaker like these 3 but he doesn’t cross a line which makes him better. The 3 troublemakers are very alike in nature, especially since they are triplets. They all have Red hair and light blue eyes and varies from each other with their features and hair styles. Eric has a mullet, Yul has pushed back hair most of the time and Avi has a hair that covers his eyes. “Here you are,” Ruer says as he hands out our portion of food. I immediately brighten up at the sight of the seasoned ribs that Ruer had made. I gobble up the food and Eric stares at me in disbelief, “You gobble your food like you’re a wolf.” I look at him, “Did you just insult your own kind?” “Semir, how will you get married when you’re less than a woman?”, Yul asks as I just gave him a death glare. “It’s Semi, you idiot,” I said and he just shrugged, “That’s what the alpha calls you, that’s what I say.” “Senra,” Avi says as he looks at Yul. “What about Senra?”, Yul asks as he continues wiping sauce in his face, not eating, just wiping and sniffing. “Semir,” Avi says once again and Yul just ignored him, “I don’t understand, anyway, when is brother Senra coming back? Ugh, I miss him!” “Did somebody say they missed me?”, we heard a deep voice as we met eye to eye with a huge dirty white wolf with green eyes. He looked humongous but not as big as the alpha. He transformed in front of us and the 3 troublemakers immediately ran towards him to hug him. “Senra! We missed you!”, Avi shouted and honestly, I’m not shocked. Avi can only produce coherent sentences whenever Senra is around. “Sit here Senra!”, Eric guided Senra as he forced me to sit elsewhere, particularly in front of them. The 3 of them seemed to have been turned into pups the moment Senra arrived. “Don’t I get a hug Semi?”, Senra asks and I just whacked his hand away which was reaching out to me. “You’re so cold Semi,” Senra says as he sniffs with non-existent tears and snot. “Yeah! Semir, you’re so cold!”, Eric excalimed and I ignored them further. “By the way, I heard what happened,” Senrasaid as he turned to me, neglecting the 3 little pups clinging to him. “Yeah, an assassin took us by surprise,” I said and he frowned, “Where’s Ponte when it happened? He was the one who’s supposed to protect the alpha while I was away.” “The alpha insisted he wanted to be alone and he can defeat anybody who comes in so Ponte was ordered to rest at that time. Besides, Ponte is now being suspended for his failure to duty,” I said. “I doubt the alpha could have been defeated so easily, so what really happened?”
