"How did it go?" Mother asked me once I reached the house.
"Terrible," I said. "Lydia is fine, but Andreas... he has a problem," I said as I took off my belt and began to unbutton my dress.
"He said I should not change things. That I should leave things the way they are. That Omegas are meant to be foot mats. Meant to be slaves. I wasn't thinking about it so deeply before, but now I desperately want to change things."
"Perhaps he should go and get himself his own glass of water," I said as I continued pacing the length of my room, while Madam Gertrude watched me.
"I understand, my dear, but that's how he has always been. Sometimes I've been wishing that he would do something and get banished for it, or better yet, executed," she said with an evil glint in her eyes.
"Exactly. Or maybe I should convince Sky, or maybe at the next council meeting, that perhaps we should abolish slavery of Omegas," I suggested.
