Cole. “Do you realize what you’ve done?!” my mother snapped at me in her office while I stood. “Today was supposed to be a joyous occasion for us and the Pack but you ruined it. Cole, YOU ruined it! How dare you save Marianne! Why the hell did you save her?!” I looked down, asking myself the same question again. Why did I save my mate? Yeah, the answer was from the moment I saw Damien. At that point, I knew there was no way I could capture him or even dream of hurting him. Of course, I could do these things but how would my mate feel? I would do anything in other to ease the overbearing restlessness I already feel from being away from the Pack. “Answer me, Cole!” I came back because I was worried about what my people would do to my mate in my absence.
