I woke up for the second time and instantly knew Xavier wasn't in the bed or smothering me, I realised with a small smile. I wanted my mate. I wanted to feel safe and protected. Just as I was about to attempt to sit up the door opened and Ginger walked in with a steaming mug in her hands. As soon as she noticed I was up she practically sprinted to my bedside, the tea or coffee I wasn't quite sure, almost spilling everywhere in her haste to get to me.
