Chapter 40
Reilley's POV
Should I knock or not? That's the question I have inside my head for minutes already. I'm still standing outside his room like an idiot.
"I don't really have anything to say to him. Why do I even bother coming in here?"
I mentally slapped myself while practicing the right thing to say to him once he notices me standing outside his door. He has a security camera installed on his door. He might be watching me right without me realizing.
"I'm such an idiot!"
This is final. I will not listen to my freaking heart for once and just leave. Wait? Did I say heart? Fuck, no! I didn't. You read it wrong. You're reading too many novels already.
"Why are you standing there?"
My eyes grew big when I heard a deep voice of a man behind me. I sighed in relief as soon as I saw the guy's face. It's not Deavon. But he looks familiar.
"I asked you a question," he said while giving me a suspecting look. He even scanned me from head to toe like I'm hiding some sort of weapon or something.
