"But we must be careful, my love," Evans warned, his voice dropping to a whisper. "These are treacherous waters we're navigating. One wrong step, one misplaced word, and our plan could come crashing down around us." He leaned in closer, his eyes piercing into Susan's soul. "We must be stealthy, silent as shadows. We must wear masks, masks of obedience, masks of love, until our moment to strike arrives."
Susan nodded, her face a mask of solemnity.
"You're right, my love. We must be the masters of deception. We must... We must make them believe we are their allies, their friends," Susan said, her words soft but heavy with implication.
"We must play the part of the dutiful granddaughter, the devoted husband of the house. We must act the role of loyal subjects, until the very moment they lay their heads upon the chopping block." She concluded.
