Chapter 14 What Do You Bring An Outsider for?
Natalie replied, "Thank you. I see."
Senior didn't respond anymore.
Natalie felt guilty.
She really didn't mean it.
Natalie was bored and depressed because she took someone else's title and identity.
How did this happen?
——
After work.
Natalie still had a worried look.
She didn't even notice Kenneth walk out of his office and come to her.
With her head lowered, she looked very upset.
"Let's go." Kenneth said.
Natalie raised her head abruptly. Her eyes were a little red.
"Have you cried?" Kenneth frowned. "Do you want me to teach Bennie another lesson?"
"Not because of him." Natalie shook her head.
"Then what happened?" Kenneth asked coldly.
"Nothing." Natalie didn't have the courage to say it.
"Come with me to the Hussain Mansion."
Natalie paused for a while and stood up, "Mr. Hussain, you're going to meet Miss Bentley. I don't have to go with you, do I?"
"Why not?" Kenneth squinted. "Are you jealous?"
"No." Natalie shook her head quickly, "Mr. Hussain..."
"It's not office time. How many times do you want me to remind you?" Kenneth sounded angry.
He couldn't believe that she was not jealous.
"Kenneth, we got married because of an accident. It's a hoax to appease shareholders. There's no need to make it real in private. I won't stop you from meeting Miss Bentley, but I don't want to go with you." Natalie didn't want to get involved too much.
Kenneth's eyes were burning with anger. He said, "It's okay if you don't go, then don't come to the company in the future."
After saying that, Kenneth left.
"Wait!" Natalie hurried to catch up him. "I'll go, okay? Don't fire me."
She couldn't lose her job.
They walked into the elevator.
Kenneth said sarcastically, "You are not a workaholic. I can't believe you care so much about your work."
"What I care about is not work, but money. No one has a problem with money." Natalie replied seriously.
Kenneth's eyes were cold.
He was rich, too.
As long as she pleased him, she could get a lot of money.
But why didn't she do it?
They took the elevator to the garage.
Kenneth drove away from the company. Half an hour later, they arrived at the Hussain Mansion.
Kenneth stopped the car and was about to get out of it.
"Wait!" Natalie grabbed the sleeve of his hand-made suit.
"What are you doing?"
"Our marriage is a secret. We've agreed on this matter. Even your family can't know it. I hope you can keep your promise and don't show your special relationship with me in front of them." Natalie thought the less people know about their marriage, the better.
She didn't want to cause trouble to the woman Kenneth loved.
Kenneth's face darkened. He asked, "What's wrong? Is marrying me a shameful thing?"
Natalie looked innocent.
That was not what she meant.
"Huh." Kenneth sneered, "Don't worry, I don't want people to know that I married you. Remember, no matter how cold or bad I am to you in the future, it’s your request."
After saying that, he turned around to get out of the car without waiting for Natalie.
Natalie sighed and followed him.
She was not afraid that Kenneth would be bad to her.
Instead, she was afraid that he would be too nice to her.
It would only make her feel more guilty.
There were four people living in the Hussain Mansion.
One of them was Melina Hussain, Kenneth's grandmother. Melina didn't like Kenneth's mother, so she didn't like Kenneth either.
Kenneth took over the company because of Noel.
But Noel died more than a year ago.
Natalie had met Noel, who was very kind.
Kenneth's father, Emilio, and his current wife, Millie, also lived here.
The other was their son, and Kenneth's half-brother, Charlie Hussain.
Kenneth and Natalie walked in.
Millie greeted Kenneth with a big smile, "You're back. Everyone is waiting for you. Miss Bentley has been waiting for you for a long time."
When she saw Natalie, her smile suddenly disappeared, "Why are you here?"
Natalie replied with a smile, "As Mr. Hussain's secretary, I don't get off work until eight o'clock in the evening, so it's my working time."
This was nonsense.
Of course, Millie didn't know much about Natalie's working.
"I brought her back for dinner. You don't have the final say in this family." Kenneth's attitude towards Millie was very indifferent.
Millie was a homewrecker.
Back then, she made a fuss in order to marry Emilio.
She forced Marnie to divorce.
During that time, Marnie suffered from depression.
So Kenneth was very serious about Millie.
Times had passed and circumstances had changed. Millie thought she could change other people's views on her. In particular, she wanted to show in front of Miss Bentley that their relationship was close.
But how could Kenneth cooperate with her?
Millie suddenly became embarrassed.
"Is it Kenneth?" Melina's voice came from the living room.
"Come here." Kenneth turned to Natalie and said, "This is home."
Natalie didn't say anything.
Kenneth took Natalie to the living room.
On the big sofa sat a white-haired old woman and a young lady.
The old woman was Kenneth's grandmother, Melina. That lady was Dalia Bentley.
Emilio and Millie were sitting in the double sofa on the left side, and on the right side was Kenneth's half-brother Charlie and a strange man.
Natalie had some impression. He was the president of the the Bentley Group, Elwood Bentley.
When Elwood saw Natalie, his sharp eyes stared at her and he frowned slightly.
Kenneth took Natalie to take their seats.
Melina's cold tone was mixed with a hint of dissatisfaction, "Why is Natalie here?"
"Mom, Natalie said it's her working hours." Millie immediately replied.
Melina was annoyed. She blamed, "Kenneth, it's a family dinner. Why did you bring an outsider?"
Natalie was expressionless.
Melina never liked her.
Although she didn't know why.
In Melina's eyes, Natalie was too beautiful and threatening.
Moreover, she was born in a small county town and was a single-parent family. It was said that she was an illegitimate daughter.
This kind of origin was too terrible.
Kenneth could only play with Natalie.
Only a rich and powerful lady was suitable for Kenneth.
If Natalie continued to stay with Kenneth, she might cause trouble to his marriage.
Melina had reminded Kenneth several times to expel Natalie, but he didn't listen to her.
"You can go back now." Melina ordered with a long face, "It's said that you are very clever. But this is a family dinner of the Hussain family. Do I need to say it to you clearly?"
Of course Natalie wanted to leave.
If Kenneth hadn't forced her to come here, she wouldn't have come.
"Wait." Dalia suddenly suggested with a smile, "Mrs. Hussain, let her stay. It's good even if she can entertain us."
