After Penelope went through with the abortion, Jacob fell into a depressive state for several weeks before starting to fanatically pursue her again. However, the difference was that he no longer tried to force her into doing anything. He simply appeared silently at locations where she was present to give her all kinds of precious treasures and expensive supplements.
