Penelope logged out of her Instagram account and placed the laptop back in its original position. Just as she was about to leave, Jacob called out her name anxiously. His eyes were tightly shut and he looked to have fallen into a nightmare. With her escape plan in mind, she suppressed the hatred in her heart and took his hand.
