Oh, this was way too awkward. Melanie instantly regretted not turning off the light. Now she and Edward were just lying there, awkwardly staring at each other. "Maybe… we should turn off the light," she finally mumbled. He agreed and got up to switch it off. As the room plunged into darkness, the atmosphere grew even stranger, thick with an odd tension.
