Chapter 4 Hostess
Celeste lay on the bed, trying hard to stifle her laughter with her hand. She had just hit the jackpot—a whole billion—and Nathaniel's trust had made slipping into her new role a breeze.
Her phone buzzed with a notification: "Molly seen at the Emperor Club."
Without wasting a second, Celeste sprang up, swapped her loungewear for something sharp and practical, and pulled her hair back into a ponytail. The girl in the mirror looked cold and calculated, a far cry from the sweet charmer she had been just moments ago.
Within ten minutes, she was in her car, driving straight to the Emperor Club.
Molly was her best lead to the boss—she had been close to him, and Celeste couldn't risk any slip-ups.
……
Elsewhere, a group of tall figures made their way to the club's second floor. Nathaniel paused for a moment at the stairs.
"What's wrong?"
Nathaniel glanced down at the busy restaurant below.
He thought he saw someone in the corner who resembled his new wife, but she disappeared before he could be sure.
He coughed awkwardly to cover his discomfort. Ridiculously, he felt like some lovesick teenager, seeing her face in every crowd.
Little did he know, the woman who had just slipped into the corner of the first floor was indeed Celeste!
She was dressed in a tight black mini-dress that highlighted her curves perfectly. She was pulling on a pair of seductive black stockings, her movements accentuating her figure.
"Be careful, Ann, this place is a snake pit," her companion whispered after disguising the unconscious Molly, ready to take her away for questioning.
To avoid detection, Celeste had no choice but to change into Molly's clothes and temporarily take over her job.
"Don't worry, I've played the part of a hostess before!" Celeste said with a chuckle, flipping her hair over her face to reveal a heavily made-up look that could pass in the dim lighting.
Her companion had barely left when a sharp voice called from outside the door.
"Molly! What are you up to?"
A woman in a bright red cheongsam entered, "The clients are getting impatient. Hurry up! We've got a very important guest tonight, so make sure you serve him well!"
Celeste nodded repeatedly and followed her toward the VIP lounge.
In the dimly lit lounge, several figures sat around, each exuding wealth and power.
The man at the center caught her eye—he was wearing a Richard Mille watch and had an air of distinct superiority, casually lifting his glass in a gesture that set him apart from the others.
But his face was strikingly handsome, with sexy lips and a prominent nose bridge—the perfect side profile, and just Celeste's type.
Wait a minute—his face looked familiar!
Celeste took a closer look, and her heart skipped a beat.
Nathaniel?!!
In the dim lighting of a questionable establishment, Celeste nervously glanced around. She was disguised as 'Molly' and the last thing she wanted was for Nathaniel to recognize her.
Lost in thought, Nathaniel nonchalantly put down his cigarette. Something seemed to catch his attention; he looked up and his eyes settled on a striking figure.
Despite the heavy makeup and dim light, he felt a sense of familiarity.
"Nathaniel, you've got to come this time. My sister will never let me hear the end of it if you don't," Isaac nudged him, trying to draw him into committing to an upcoming auction.
But Nathaniel was distracted.
The flickering lights briefly illuminated the woman's face. It was unmistakably his new wife!
"Come here!" he suddenly called out, startling Isaac.
Isaac, thinking his conversation had annoyed Nathaniel, quickly tried to smooth things over, "Just appease my little sister a bit, will you? She won't stop nagging otherwise..."
Before he could finish, he noticed a hostess approaching them.
Celeste knew she couldn't hide any longer.
Realizing she'd been recognized, she decided to spin the situation. She'd make Nathaniel believe that she had just happened to spot him here and, in a fit of jealousy, followed him dressed as a hostess. It seemed like a plausible enough story.
She confidently flipped her hair back, revealing her attractive face, and seductively positioned herself next to Nathaniel.
"Little sister? How many 'little sisters' do you have, eh?" she teased, wrapping her arm around Nathaniel's neck.
Her long legs, barely covered by her dress, casually draped over his lap, and her bright red lips boldly grazed his.
Isaac was shocked. It had been years since any woman dared to approach Nathaniel so boldly!
He tried to intervene, "What are you doing? We're in the middle of something important here. Why are you getting so close?"
Celeste ignored Isaac. Her priority was making sure neither the madam nor Nathaniel exposed her. Everyone else was secondary.
She flirtatiously kissed Nathaniel on the lips and murmured softly, "We're discussing important matters too, right, dear?"
Isaac gasped in disbelief, "Nathaniel? You're letting her kiss you??"
Nathaniel responded with just a stern look.
He pulled Celeste even closer, his hand boldly resting on her shapely hip. His chest pressed against her soft front, their bodies merging in the heat of the moment.
