CHAPTER 105: LOOKING FOR SARAH
"Cecilia, you've got to eat something," Sarah's voice came gently but firmly as she sat beside her.
Cecilia's face, pale and drained, barely lifted from her hands as she sat curled up on the couch, knees pulled tightly to her chest. Her lips trembled, and her eyes were rimmed red from hours of crying. She didn't respond; she stared blankly at the coffee table.
Sarah frowned, her brow furrowing as she rubbed her temples in frustration. She hated seeing her best friend like this—so broken, so lost. Christian's disappearance had taken a heavy toll on Cecilia, and no number of comforting words seemed to help. But Sarah wasn't one to give up easily.
"Cecilia," Sarah's voice softened as she leaned closer, "I know it's hard. I can't even begin to imagine what you're feeling right now, but you have to take care of yourself. Christian needs you to be strong for him."
