Chapter 1

Two soldiers landed from their vehicle and walked into the castle. The one walking in front, was well decorated and appeared to be the superior of the two. The other just walked timidly behind him. "My master, I brought a soldier to be your personal guard. I want to believe that you are satisfied?" He said, bowing on one knee as soon as they got into the throne room and were face to face with the lycan king. His name was Henry from the U.S armed force. King Lucien Wulfgur raised his head and looked thoroughly at the boy Henry brought. "This little child?" He got up and checked the boy out. "Could it be said that you are a wolf? Also, you look girlish." He spoke to the boy. "No, my master. I am a human and...a boy," the person replied. The King drew nearer towards them in a fast move. He took a closer look at the boy's neck and saw...the mark?! The king's eyes sparkled and his heart began to hurt out of nowhere. His mate. He has found her. He had been searching for her for quite a long time and finally, she was reborn. But as a man? How could he possibly adjust to the boy? Now that what he wished for had at last come to pass, he will pass on to the great beyond in 90 days time. He really needs to start getting ready for his death and burial. "Alpha King! Are you alright?" Henry asked quickly as he saw the Lycan Master in torment. He rushed to him, bringing him out of his deep thinking while the gatekeepers went out to call the King's personal doctor. "I'm fine! You don't have to worry about me. Take him to my chamber now." The King groaned holding his chest, trying to regain composure, his hazel eyes shining to its most splendid variety ever. "As you wish, Alpha." Henry bowed and took the boy soldier to the king's room. "Lun, you have to do whatever the king says. I'm a human, but I have this feeling that you are the king's mate. Do whatever it takes not to tell the king your true identity for now. Stay away from him whether or not you turn out to be his mate or not," Henry immediately said when they got to the king's inner chambers. "For sure. As you wish, sir!" Lun responded respectfully. "Fantastic. I will be out soon and the lord will come in. Do well not to rant too much. Mind what you say before the king." "I will do that, Sir" Lun promised him. Henry left the room leaving Lun to look round the room till the king came in. His hazel eyes looked at Lun who was looking down. No one dared look eye to eye with the king. It's a standard. "What's your name?" The Alpha asked, still holding his chest from the aggravation. The more he approached the boy, the more he felt that sharp agony. He is actually his mate. However, why a male? "Lun, My lord." "Do you have at any rate some idea of what you are doing here?" The king asked again, in a bid to raise conversation with the boy. "Indeed, To enroll in the royal armed forces and safeguard the lord," Lun responded with a serious face. "You're correct, but particularly you're to be my very own guard too. "My mistake, Alpha, I'm sorry" He was apologising for looking straight into the master's eyes. 'Accepting I turn out to be the Ruler's mate, I really have to follow the instructions Sir Henry shared with me.' Lun thought. "You're enrolling in the king's royal armed force, and you're specially going to be his own personal guard. You understand what I mean? To protect him with your life." Henry said to him. "But, sir, I don't think I fit into this work. I'm not capable, I am only fortunate to always get back from battle without getting harmed. Why me?" Lun? Protect the king? The mighty King Lucien Wulfgur Emrys Adalwolf? The abilities Lun has couldn't even safeguard himself not to talk of the king, of all people. But come to think of it, why didn't he just protect himself? "To that end, you should be close by his side. I would have picked someone else, but I felt you ought to be the one." Henry explained. "Why does the great king Wulfgur require a personal guard? He's by all means mightier than all of the soldiers put together." "I don't have the foggiest idea why as well. Henry shook his head . "No, sweetheart. No one knows you're a female in this military or outside this spot. It's one of the secrets I shouldn't as yet say; you should keep dressing and behaving like a boy from here on out. You're one extraordinary being and I respect you. Now, no more questions. Think it, and by tomorrow, I need your response. A positive one at that." Henry winked and left. "I almost forgot I'm a woman myself." Lun jeered and got back to what she was doing earlier on. She has been pretending to be a boy since she was very little and she's truly safe. Regardless of the fact that the military is stacked with boys. ***** Well, that was how she ended up in the royal house. Although, not confirmed at this point, she is the lord's mate. Wait, is there any reason why she won't be? She has the mark of a werewolf, despite the fact that she hasn't seen herself change into a werewolf before. Who is she? She didn't have even the slightest clue about her true identity, just Uncle Henry does, but he wouldn't tell her right now. "Go, acquaint yourself with the Regal Military," Wulfgur expressed, intruding in her thoughts.. "Yes, My Lord" Lun bowed and left the room. ************** "Heavens!! I want to cry! How did I merit this?" Alpha Lord Wulfgur moaned before his dear companion, Thanos. The god of fate. "Well, you simply need to accept your fate," Luciano answered, tapping the alpha ruler's shoulder. Thanos touched the alpha's hand and shut his eyes. Wulfgur watched him intently. After a while, Thanos opened his eyes. "What did you see?" The lord asked him, praying for him to see something this time. "I guess Selene didn't let you know everything. You definitely know you will kick the bucket three months after you set your eyes on your mate. She will… " Thanos stopped abruptly. "She will what?" The lord asked eagerly. "Please accept my apologies, but with what I've seen, you mustn't get excessively near the Lun boy or something bad might happen. And now, you fucking have three months to live and if you try to get excessively close to your mate, Lun will die prematurely. Why would you do something like this? With Selene, of all people! The heavens aren't nice on you at all. Plus, why does your mate have to be reborn a male?" Thanos just kept talking and asking a myriad of questions. Meanwhile, King Lucien Wulfgur was entranced in a soliloquy, not listening to what his friend had been saying. "I know how to get back my immortality back from Selene, though it will be very far journey and risky trial." he sighed. He did this for love. He will make everything back to normal. For Lun, who was a boy now, and for him. However, ninety days just isn't enough for him to do this. He is most likely to die before he could make everything back to normal.
