Chapter 21
"Wait, what was that?" I said softly as I saw Justine return from the kitchen.
He reappeared with a spare flashlight, six additional batteries, two packs of matches, as well as the man's handgun. There was also a box of ammunition and cartridges in a desktop computer close to the entrance, which Justine placed into the backpack with the rest of his belongings. Then he nodded and gave me a small indigo box filled with something that I assumed was handwritten lettering.
We saw a lot of unusual stuff written on it as he sat down behind me. I groaned as I scrutinized the paper attentively, recognizing it was similar to a journal.
Day 15, 2022 of August
Everyone was sick and infected. My wife was bitten but she hasn't still turned into a rotten. The entire New York City was congested, and everyone diminished. I could not see any people anymore other than from the rotten. I raided Trader Joe's and Walter Mart, but I still saw nothing other than a piece of CD
