"Do you think he will be alright?" She asked Lily as she watched him drive off. "Don't worry, he'll heal from this." Lily answered but that didn't stop Alyssa from feeling guilty for lying and breaking his heart. "Did we have to go that far?" She asked Lily again, referring to them lying about being in a relationship. "If we hadn't, your rejection would have been for nothing. I know my brother, you just rejecting him wasn't going to stop him." Lily explained. "I see that now." Alyssa muttered with a small nod. "But I would still prefer you give me a heads up anytime you want to do something as bizarre as this." Alyssa added. "And miss the hilarious look on your face? Hell no!!" Lily answered with a chuckle and that made Alyssa laugh also, slowly easing her from the guilt she was feeling. On their way home, Alyssa and Lily laughed, with Lily's playfulness lifting Alyssa's spirits.
