Chapter55: A Future Written in the Sand

*Eli* Ever since talking to the king, we are all worried. The war is imminent, and we will have to fight to save the kingdom. I know we are all worried about Rose and how she will fare if the kingdom is to be attacked. She is carrying four children, and for all we know, the children could belong to each of us. Even if they don’t, we will all do everything in our power to protect the woman we have all come to care about so much. “If we are to go to war, which of the units do you suggest should take the front line?” Reece asks. I put my legs on top of the table and wait for someone else to respond. The four of us are all sitting in my room as we try to make plans about the pending war. A bottle of King Gene’s wine is being shared amongst us, and the brown liquid isn’t doing much to take care of the nerves. “I think we should have taken a bottle of whisky instead, this is too weak for the set task,’’ Tristan says. I nod my head in agreement. “If we were to go and fight, the royal soldiers
