CHAPTER 80
For dinner at Miranda's, I wore a simple thin stripped gown that had a few glitters at the hems. I tied my hair in a high messy bun and fixed a few jewellery pieces to my ears and my neck. I gave my face a finishing touch with a dab of red lipstick over my lips. My phone rang as I give myself one last look in the mirror. I ignored the phone and practised a few smiles as I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
Too girly.
I broadened the smile a little more and shook my head objectively.
Too large.
I lessened the grin and it made me almost cringe.
Too serious.
"You know, I think you are better off smiling genuinely when you can." Conor's voice said from behind me and I turned to look at him. He had a small smile on his face and he was leaning against the walls of the open doors, his arms crossed against his hard chest.
